February 22, 2012, 10:05 pm Melatonin is NOT the answer for night terrors because too high a dose can CREATE problems, not eleviate them. There is NO KNOWN "cure" for night terrors. It SUCKS!!! It's hard But remind yourself they don't remember them and a good friend with a Psychology PHD assures me they usually...
Going rate for tooth fairyFebruary 22, 2012, 8:08 pm The first tooth lost here doesn't get money from the tooth fairy but something special the child wants. One got a special book he'd been wanting, one a pair of Barbie boots. After that it's $1 a tooth. Just need to vent for a minute.(long)February 22, 2012, 7:11 pm Here it is over a week later and I am still shaking my head over this as are a few other co-workers. I have to agree Crick, I think she was just in a volatile state which is nothing new. My BFF at work wonders if she even knew what Genetic Sexual Attraction is. Either way, the consensus at... 3 Year Old Who Cannot Follow DirectionsFebruary 22, 2012, 7:08 pm OK, with you describing this big change today, I'm wondering about allergies. Especially to food dyes, chemicals, possibly to certain foods. If a person has allergies, and their "load" of items they're allergic to is lower one day, it can make a huge difference. Even if all FAE etc.... Methadone???February 22, 2012, 7:03 pm I sent you a private message. Stressing OutFebruary 22, 2012, 6:51 pm We found out today that our emom was in the hospital for three days for pre-term labor. She was sent home to be on bedrest. But I really don't think she will comply.
She is in treatment at a methadone clinic as well. We also got a lot of her drug screens and found out that she is using/taking... it feels personalFebruary 22, 2012, 4:10 pm Quote:

My birth father's WIFEFebruary 22, 2012, 3:55 pm Everything you have said about this would also make me mad, upset and jealous. I am an adult adoptee too!! There is NO WAY he treated you fairly and it stinks that he did not want kids with you and then found out how happy having a child (adult though) could make his life. Was it because she was... The honeymoon is over- help!February 22, 2012, 1:33 pm My husband and I have been raising our newly placed pre-adoptive kids for two months now- our son (age 11) and a daughter (age 10). They are our only children. Our daughter came with more psychiatric diagnoses that you can count on one hand; She had no honeymoon period at all, and had tantrums for... female born feb.7,1965 hamilton, ontarioFebruary 22, 2012, 10:25 am Nancy,

Kind regards,
Dickons A picture only a mother could loveFebruary 22, 2012, 8:52 am YEAH!! Another little step. Now back to the whole waiting for your next update thing. Sigh. I'm not a good wait-er. Processing Disorders as Kids GrowFebruary 22, 2012, 8:47 am Sigh. BIG sigh. YES, our kids DO NEED TO LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for their actions. They really do. Having a problem of some sort is not a free pass for bad behaviors.
The process of learning responsibility may be long and look very different than that of a 'typical' person though. gettingFebruary 22, 2012, 6:46 am Hello and congratulations! It has been only 4 months for us and our little boy who is 3 nearly 4. I found that routine is as important for ourselves as it is the child. Making plans and having routines really reduces any anxieties or stresses felt by the parents which of course helps the child. ... Help!! ADHD kid and school workFebruary 21, 2012, 9:46 pm You mentioned that he does better in some classes than others. My son is ADHD, but he also has CAPD.
He was just re-evaluated for CAPD. The audiologist made a great suggestion that I never thought of. He should be seated in the 2nd or 3rd row because he needs the visual cues from his fellow... Focalin XRFebruary 21, 2012, 7:50 pm We have one on Focalin XR, one on Metadate CD 20 mg and one on Procentra . The one on Focalin XR also takes a follow up dose of Dexmethylph 2.5mg at lunchtime.
